You matter, because you exist.

My specialties, where I do my best work

01 — Trauma - Single Event (within last year)

Trauma is simply the bad things that have left a negative impression on you and is getting in the way of you living your life. I am trained in several methods and will tailor a plan to help you calm your nervous system and live your best life. If you need help healthing from a car accident, medical trauma, or any other sudden event that has changed your life we can work together to get you relief in a quick way using TANT, see below.

02 — Grief/Loss/Major Life Changes

When we say grief, most understand that to mean a loved one has passed, which is part of the equation. People also experience grief/loss with major life changes, we have seen this with people losing their lives, jobs,, daily routines, etc… Good news is that you can process these circumstances and find your new normal., in these very unpredictable times.

03 — Anxiety and/or Depression (it’s a BOGO)

Anxiety can be mild to severe that causes people to become housebound and slowly lose their independence over time and this can cause existing depression to worsen or show up for the first time. The two typically show up together and we call them the evil twins. If there is one, the other is nearby. Depression can also encompasses a range from mild to severe, and unique characteristics that distinguishing it from other overlapping diagnoses. With the current state of affairs in our world right now, uh political division/civil unrest… many people who have not needed mental health support are now in need with the shocking news that seems to be reported daily.

04 — Low self worth/regard/confidence

Do you feel like people don’t listen to you, that you don’t matter, and that you are not capable? Don’t worry I can help you understand how common distortions are skewing your reality in a negative self defeating way. You can find a more reality based way of thinking and become comfortable with the gray areas of life, those spaces where the “right” choice isn’t obvious, and be comfortable in that space.

My methods.

Brainspotting - A gentle type of alternative therapy that uses a specific focal point in a person’s visual field, that they can observe to help them process trauma. It accesses trauma trapped in the subcortical brain, the area of the brain responsible for motion, consciousness, emotions, and learning. For more information visit https://brainspotting.com/about-bsp/what-is-brainspotting/

Trauma Art Narrative Therapy - A short intervention that helps clients heal major shock trauma events (the big “T” traumas) in a structured way of drawing/retelling the story. Before this is done, we will work on building resiliency and assess for adequate coping skills before intervention is performed. https://learn.lakesidetraining.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/About-Trauma-Art-Narrative-Therapy.pdf

Accelerated Resourcing (AR) Exercises - A set of brief visualization exercises created by Timothy Wong LMFT (www.AcceleratedResourcing.com) that he has created after studying extensively in EMDR, Brainspotting, and ART.
